Low-Spec PCs CAN Play WARZONE

Warzone 2 has a reputation for being demanding, but I wanted to see just how far down the GPU ladder you can go before the game becomes unplayable. This test runs through multiple rounds using everything from bargain‑bin cards to fully DX12‑compatible budget GPUs to find out which low‑spec hardware can actually survive Warzone:

Can you run Warzone 2 with a low end GPU? Looking at the minimum specifications, the game needs at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470. We’re certainly not going to let that stop us! So how low can we really go when it comes to running Warzone 2? Let’s find out.

Round one. For our first set of contestants, we went really low spec. We’re talking bargain bin cards, DirectX 11, one gig of memory.

First let’s try the AMD FirePro V4900… Nope.

All right, let’s try the Nvidia GeForce GT 610… Nope.

Fine, let’s try the bargain bin king, the Radeon R7 450… Nope.

OK, looks like round one is a no go.

Round two. Let’s kick it up a notch with some higher power GPUs. Here we’re looking for partial DirectX 12 support and at least two gigs of memory. Let’s try both the Nvidia GeForce GT 640 and the Nvidia GeForce GT 730. So what do we got, what do we got? Wow, this is actually sort of working. Wait, what? Yeah, I don’t think that’s supposed to happen. Disqualified.

For round three, let’s make sure everything is fully DirectX 12 compatible. Our promising contestants are the AMD Radeon RX 460, Nvidia GeForce GT 1030, AMD Radeon RX 550, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, and AMD Radeon RX 560D.

We ran each GPU through five spectated rounds of Battle Royale solo at 1080p and the minimum preset. We then took the average frame rates from each round and averaged them together to achieve the GPU’s final score. Looking at the results, the GTX 1050 comes out on top, averaging a respectable frame rate of 78.7. The RX 560D, with its four gigs of memory, takes a solid second place over the very similar spec RX 460. The GT 1030 takes a distant fourth place, and the RX 550 trails significantly behind.

So there you have it: running Warzone 2 using the lowest possible spec GPUs. If you don’t mind running at the lowest settings, the GTX 1050, RX 560D, and RX 460 can all be viable choices. Playing with the GT 1030 or RX 550, however, may make for a pretty frustrating experience.

Let’s hear your thoughts about using these cards in the video comments, and thanks for watching!
